Welcome to "STYLE YOU RESIDENCE HALLS"

Here at Truth University, we want to promote the importance of your voice in forming our campus and here, ladies and gentleman, you will be able to do just that!

We are in the process of constructing and brand, new residence hall and we need YOU and your input in making it a success. What are some things you would want to see in a residence hall?

Please be mindful in taking this task very seriously because not only do we want you to hep design our new facility, but we want to make it marketable to future residents of the university!
From your experience of housing facilites you have seen in the past or maybe some you have visted, give me at least five things you would like to see in this new residential hall!

  2. I think your new residence hall should include a dinning area, kitchen area for students to cook at, meeting rooms, private bathrooms, plenty of places to study comfortably and relax, and secure areas where you have to scan a card to get into the doors if no one is on staff to check id's.

  3. That is a nice picture of the Spring Hill Student Center! I believe that every residence hall room should private with efficiency appliances. Today's college student has encountered a variety of issues concerning their abilities to effectively reside with other students, and in order to curb room change related issues, this would assist housing and residence life to be able to accomodate their student since most of them prefer to reside in a private room anyways. Everyroom should come equipt with a jacuzzi bath tub. By the way, you know that I am being very facetious when making these recommendations!

  4. It has been a long time (18 years) since I lived in a dorm, so I am not sure what is standard in a dorm now. I think a computer lab in each dorm would be a great idea for students who can't afford a computer of their own. I also like the idea of having a group kitchen area on each floor. It would have been fun to fix a meal in the dorm every once in a while.

  5. I see most of my comments are in relation to a kitchen area as well as a card reader for safety. I think the idea of living on campus can definitley be benificial if the students have some kind of say with the place they have to live in. Great ideas everybody and thanks a bunch Jessica for outing my pics... really...

I think the resident Halls should include a study room and a meeting room to allow students to gather in the Halls. There should also be vending machines on the main floor for residents to purchase snacks or drinks if needed. In the resident Hall it should also have wifi because in the older residence halls students have to use an ethernet cord. The residence hall should also have movable furniture and carpet in the rooms. The rooms should be more bedroom style instead of an jail inmate room. The resident hall should also have flat screens in a lobby hang out area. My main goal would be to attract students to the halls.

  7. I think it's interesting your point on flat screens. Those TV's can help bring community and activities within the residential community. Students are so quick to go out and have "illegal fun" but if their are activities within the residence halls, it can help promote that family like atmosphere!
